چکیده

Currently there is no any software which will automatically detect kinship from photo, we require such system because now days it’s very simple to take a photo and upload it or share it on social networking websites. But from photo it is difficult to predict the blood relationship among the people in a photo. It will be helpful if automated software based system is there for this. Our system comes under machine learning and image processing. Initially system is trained under machine learning and then real time image is given for testing. Main emphasis given to the system is for human face detection from photo, feature extraction from detected face, machine learning and then real time testing. System is trained under KinFaceW-I and KinFaceW-II dataset.

Formal analysis of kinship terminologies and its relationship to what constitutes kinship

The goal of this paper is to relate formal analysis of kinship terminologies to a better understanding of who, culturally, are defined as our kin. Part I of the paper begins with a brief discussion as to why neither of the two claims: (1) kinship terminologies primarily have to do with social categories and (2) kinship terminologies are based on classification of genealogically specified relati...

Cultural kinship as a computational system: from bottom-up to top-down forms of social organization

A key change in the evolution of our species from a common ancestor with the chimpanzees was the shift to a field of social interaction no longer dependent upon face-to-face interaction for the maintenance of social coherency. Our hunter-gatherers ancestors made a radical shift to social relations based on a culturally constructed system of kinship relations. Unlike biological kinship that refl...

Temporal changes in kin structure through a population cycle in a territorial bird, the red grouse Lagopus lagopus scoticus.

Populations of red grouse (Lagopus lagopus scoticus) undergo regular multiannual cycles in abundance. The 'kinship hypothesis' posits that such cycles are caused by changes in kin structure among territorial males producing delayed density-dependent changes in aggressiveness, which in turn influence recruitment and regulate density. The kinship hypothesis makes several specific predictions abou...

Running head : LOGICAL WORD LEARNING 1 Logical word learning : The case of kinship

In this paper, we propose a framework for conceptual development through the lens of program induction. We implement this framework to model the acquisition of kinship term concepts, resulting in the first formal learning model for kinship acquisition. We demonstrate that our model can learn any kinship system consistent with its learning data using cross-linguistic data from English, Pukapuka ...
